The Leopard's Lair SU 01/08/12

Good evening, folks! Welcome back to Bob! I tried to post a few news items, but the site would not accept formatting from the iPad, so a quick summary: candidate Huntsman says the big Wall St banks are a major threat. This was in an opinion piece by Huntsman. For those of you who become moist at the mention of OWS, those this align with their stand? Elsewhere, the administration quietly released news on FR that unions received over 80% of exemptions from HCR that were granted since June, when exemption rules were supposedly tightened. Apparently, Orwell's Animal Farm thrives, with union card carriers more equal than others. These more equal types are also part of the downtrodden 99%, right? I suggest OWS might wish to visit Solidarity House. Yeah, I know: that'll never happen.

  2. I offer facts and opinion. You offer bile with no substantive response. I suggest you ponder the definition of "self-righteous ass." I also suggest that you furnish a rational reply. That will not happen. By the way, fearless Anonymous, my name is Mike Walker. I furnish identity with commentary. Your convictions apparently are based on a shakier foundation.

BTW, prior to the rules supposedly being being tightened, in one burst of exemptions, 20% were awarded to entities in Nancy Pelosi's District. Perhaps OWS might wish to visit SF? I'll hold my breath.

    Gasp! Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

    Best wishes.

  3. "Arson involves the burning of someone else's house or land, so has no application here."

    Rush

Where in the world do these Forsyth Tech Law Students get off 'trying' to give out legal advice? It would be nice if they'd get it right at least 'some' of the time. Jeez....just add this boner to Rush's repertoire.

If you burn someone's personal property, which could include a flag, you could be charged with arson N.C.G.S. 14-66.

Arson: the willful or malicious burning of property (as a building) especially with criminal or fraudulent intent-Merriam Webster

  4. You can also be charged with arson for burning your own property if you do it for insurance purposes.

The flags that the people burned belonged to them, and they made no insurance claims, dumbass.

  5. I just hope you're not practicing law. If you are, I think you better go back to Forsyth Tech Law School for some refresher courses before you send some poor fool to jail for the rest of his life.

  6. Thank you, Rielle!

Actually, part of the post that riled Anonymous was a question about an opinion piece by Jon Huntsman, wherein he cites large banks as a threat to the country. I asked how this aligned with the presumed position of OWS. That was a curiosity question, not a challenge.

The rest of my post was a slam at the Obama and his union patrons. Whether self-righteous or not, it continues to beg refutation, but facts is facts, kinda hard to refute facts released, however furtively, by the Administration.
